Training - by Sarah
My hip feels really great today! In fact, I was at the grocery store this morning and jogged to get a cart (I had to move fast, since the children were in the car still :-)) and it didn't really hurt a bit. I thought I should put in writing though that I am definitely not doing the marathon in March. After not running for almost 6 weeks now, I don't think it would be healthy for my body to "cram" for a marathon. But, probably in about 2 weeks I will start running again. I want to wait until there is no pain in my hip when I run, and then wait another week or so after that. So, I predict that happening in about 2 or 3 weeks at this point. When I begin running again, I plan on running 3 or 4 days a week and only about 12 or 15 miles a week, with my "long" runs being no more than 4 miles. My plan is to get a pretty good 5K time and an okay 10K time this year. Maybe next year I will train for a half marathon or marathon. Thanks so much Lindsey for making me into a runner from now on! I can't wait to run my first marathon with you guys someday!

I'm glad that you were able to make the right decision for your own health and sanity. I'm looking forward to the day that we do a marathon together! Love you,
Lindsey
I am excited about training as well. It is exciting to think that now I have this new adventure in my life of running and training for marathons.
San Antonio sounds good if all is well for that time or later if it works out for everyone.
