Completely Conquerable

I feel like I'm finally back in the running game. Saturday I ran for 2 and a half hours- I think about 15 miles. I'm slow, but as long as I ice my ankles afterward, the soreness and the swelling isn't there the next time I run so that's a very good thing. For the first time in almost a month, I feel like the marathon is more than finish able again- which is a relief, because I was really starting to doubt myself. I'm content to walk whenever I need to- need being the key word. I think my self discipline has definitely improved too. Yesterday I was at target and I kept picking things up and putting them in my basket and then I would ask myself if I really needed it and put it back. It's funny how running has trickled into my everyday activities, and is making me stronger on so many levels. I'm looking forward to six this afternoon and to swimming with Sarah again this week. -Lindsey
