Silent Night
This morning I went my eight and then went to 6:30 service and had communion. This routine is proving to be a great way to get over that midweek hump. I made a new running friend through work and he has recommended doing a cold bath after long runs. He goes down to Barton Springs to soak, but he said that an ice bath is just as good for reducing swelling and speeding recovery. I think this is something that I need to do from now on. My sore ankle is starting to feel stronger, and I think that these next two weeks of cutting back on my milage are going to help. This evening I think I'm going to do some pilates to get a good core work out and some much needed stretching. It's such a great time of year to go for an evening run and look at all the Christmas lights! My mom and I used to love to do this when I was in high school and we would sing Christmas carols- I bet we looked like a bunch of dorks but it's a good memory for me. I'll see y'all Sunday! Lindsey
