Knee Pain-Melinda

So my 10 miler went great. Felt pretty solid the whole time. The last half mile I felt like I had bricks on my feet and my socks were rubbing my feet hard. But luckily no blisters! Well my knees have been a little sore since the run. I tried to run again today and they just bothered me so I stopped. I was going to just run through it yet I felt like I should stop. So I looked online and it said things about mabey not proper having proper form? Also said it is common in beginners increasing their mileage. It said I should stretch and strengthen my quads. Would love to do that! So I guess Ill chill until the pain subsides and conentrate on strengthening and stretching for a few days. I had a such a feeling of accomplishment after the 10. Only 16 more. WOW!

I'm really proud of you, and glad that you are being smart and listening to your body. I've missed my last 4 scheduled runs because of being sick but I think it was probably the best thing for my ankle too- so maybe my body was trying to talk to me also. I run with a strap under my right knee and it has really helped- you might check it out-Lindsey
