Question

Do you guys recommend any foods inparticular that are good protein or foods for good fuel. Foods that a runner should consume.

You need carbs for running- its recommending that runners eat some like 15% protein an 25% fat and the rest carbs. Powerbar makes the C2 bar for before a workout, the gel during the workout, and then they have a recovery bar or shake for after a run. But, a granola bar or a bagel work just as well in recovery because your body can break them down quickly to use them for energy. If you're feeling drained during a workout you can pop a hard candy in your mouth or a gatorade works quicker than water. -Lindsey
