I agree

I know what you mean Linds about your head getting in the way. I have to prepare myself for a long workout so my head wont get in the way of telling me Im tired. Yesterday I went to the Velloway and rode 12 miles and went as fast as I could. I was wanting to do a speed workout. I was passing people and I felt pretty strong. Even though I need to get a tune up on the bike...i do not think my left gear really works right now. This one guy was the only one that passed me and then after I passed this girl... you can tell she didn't want me to pass her, we were neck and neck for about 3 miles. It really helped to ride by the other cyclists. Yet is was sooo hot. It was around 5:30-6 and I think this really adds to the workout or makes it harder. The wind was even hot. I should try working out in the morning as well to see the difference. My water on my bike even got really hot.

Lately I have been praying for things when I am really on my last straw in my workouts. Its been on my heart lately to pray for Rebecca my sister with Spinabifida. I just recently realized that spinabifida patients usually only live to about early 20's. So when I feel spent I pray for her healing that it would be a miraculous healing and that his name would be glorified. I thank the Lord that I have the legs to run, since Rebecca can only move in the wheel chair. I feel humbled and appreciative at that moment. It takes away the pain. So my tough times have been really neat, in just praying for someone else.

I have noticed the Lord is really working on me in my workouts. Or maybe when I can really hear him because Im so vulnerable since I have not been riding or running with music.

Love you guys. I ll miss you Linds. I wish you were going!!!
Melinda
