I need to put in more miles!

Hey guys-
Well as I am writing this my legs are sore! I did a leg workout concentrating on my quads and strenthing muscles around my shins. I took your advice Sarah and after my leg workout at the gym, I did 4x(100 feet of lunges and 30 airsquats. I feel it today. Love it! I cant remember the last time my legs were sore so I just crave that for my legs. With my jogging, I need to be doing my puttin in more miles . I have been busy with work and have not made time. Im still running yet probably have been missing out about 3 miles per week. So hopefully I can get some in tonight sometime. I ran 4 miles on Monday and it was a hard run for me. It was in the morning and I had a really bad cramp in my stomach that kicked in the 2.5 mile and I fought through it for a mile and then felt nautious. So it was just a bad run, I dont think I had enough fuel.
Im sure my next blog will be more fun and pumped up!

Hey Melin,
It was great to read your blog. Keep up the good fight! Before long four will be nothing for you. Try eating half a power bar or a banana before you run if you feel like you need more energy. Me on the other hand, I don't feel good running unless I'm close to empty. Maybe change up the time of day you run too, to see what works for you. I love early mornings for the solitude of it, but some people run better at the end of the day or at lunch time. Its getting the routine and the rhythm down. I'm so proud of how you've jumped right into this! Lindsey

Keep up the good work, Melinda! I think it is really good for us to work through pain (as long as it's not causing injury of course :-)) in order to finish what we start, so I am so proud of you for finishing your run even though you felt horrible. I hope the next week goes better and I hope you are finding the time on vacation to keep it up! Love ya!
